Shiv Sena Shinde Group MLA Sada Saravankar has been appointed as a chairman of Siddhivinayak Temple Trust. Earlier, Thackeray faction leader Aadesh Bandekar was the chairman of the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust Committee. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA Sada Saravankar was offered a ministerial berth. It was being discussed for the last several days that Saravankar would be given a bigger responsibility in state politics. Sada Saravankar has been appointed chairman of Siddhivinayak Temple Trust.

The Government of Maharashtra has exercised the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 5 as well as section 7 of the Shri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mother Trustee-Arrangement (Prabhadevi) Act, 1980 (Maharashtra Act No. 6 of 1981).

On 23 July 2020, Aadesh Chandrakant Bandekar was reappointed as the Chairman of the Management Committee of Sri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir Trust, Prabhadevi, Mumbai for a period of three years.

The circular stated that Sada Sarvankar will remain the president of Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Trust for the next 3 years starting from November 6, 2023.

MLA Sada Saravankar, known to be a staunch Shiv Sena member, has held several important positions in the party. While in Shiv Sena, Saravankar held many important positions like divisional chief and standing committee chairman. Saravankar was also elected corporator for the first time on Shiv Sena ticket. After this, Saravankar contested for the MLA seat from Shiv Sena. After the split in Shiv Sena, Sada Sarvankar left Uddhav Thackeray and joined Eknath Shinde. MLA Sada Sarvankar, one of Thackeray's confidants, joined the Shinde faction.


Sada Saravankar's career

Sada Saravankar has been a corporator since 1992. In 2004, he was elected MLA for the first time on a Shiv Sena ticket. However, in 2009, Sada Saravankar refused to give the ticket and the party ordered Bandekar to be given the ticket. Sada Sarvankar left Shiv Sena and joined Congress to contest the 2009 elections. In 2012, Saravankar returned home from Congress. Saravankar was transferred to the post of head of the department. Sada Sarvankar was elected MLA for two consecutive terms in 2014 and 2019 respectively.
