Abhishek Ghosalkar was shot dead by Mauris Noronha, a self-proclaimed leader, on Thursday, February 8. Mauris first went live on Facebook with Abhishek Ghosalkar and then shot him. Later, he shot himself and committed suicide. Four days after Abhishek Ghosalkar's murder, the reaction of Mauris’s wife has come to light.
Mauris’s wife Sarina Noronha has said that Mauris is not a perfect person but his image is painted that way on social media. Sarina Noronha has also said that I will regret what happened for the rest of my life. Sarina also said that as much as I am sad that my daughter has lost her father, I also feel bad for Abhishek Ghosalkar's children. In an interview given to Mid Day, Sarina has expressed her feelings. She also made an important statement about Mauris.
What did Mauris’s wife say?
If there is one thing I would strongly like to say about Mauris, it is that one should never hurt someone so much that the consequences are so painful. Mauris’s enemies are also responsible for what happened. The criminal cases filed against Mauris were politically motivated. Mauris’s enemies conspired to frame him for rape. Apart from this, there was no case against him.
Mauris was under stress
Mauris has been under pressure since his release from prison. Many objected to Mauris' social work and the banner. His enemies had sent letters against him to the American embassy, writing that Mauris was a criminal. As a result, Mauris was sent a summons by the American Embassy. Mauris wanted to go to America after getting bail.
However, he was told by the embassy that he will not be able to go to America until the criminal cases against him are resolved. Many tried to prevent Mauris from even earning a living. I had never seen Mauris so stressed. He would often tell me about things that happened to him. Mauris often used language to teach a lesson to those responsible for his situation. But I never thought things would go to this level. Sarina said that he did not bend.
How did you understand the incident of shooting?
Sarina said that while I was in the office, I got a call from my mother. She told me that Abhishek Ghosalkar was shot. I didn't say anything about it. After a while a friend called me and said that it was Mauris who shot Abhishek. I couldn't believe it then. Another then told me that it was Mauris who shot Abhishek. I was very shocked to hear that. My daughter was alone at home then. I immediately sent my mother to her. My daughter came to know about the incident because of a video that went viral on social media. Mauris is said to be a hooligan on social media. But this is not true. My daughter suffered a lot from all this. She has given up food and water, hoping that her father will return.
