Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and Maharashtra elections next year, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah is set to visit Mumbai for two days on Tuesday. Shah is expected to conduct a meeting with the party’s state unit to discuss and review the preparations for the upcoming polls.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday and the focus will be on the preparations as per the constituencies including the management of booths and workforce of the party. Ahead of the meeting, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered all the MLAs to attend the meeting. 

BJP seems to have intensified their poll preparation after facing defeat in three state assembly elections including Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. In order to gain votes, BJP is now focusing on implementing the welfare schemes of the central and state government. Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of CIDCO houses under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY).

According to sources, in the meeting, the BJP president will monitor the reach and implementation of government schemes to the people and if the legislator has been effective enough regarding the same. 

Amit Shah has also announced that on Sunday he will hold a similar meeting in Delhi too where Shah is expected to conduct an interactive session with the booth in-charges of BJP’s Delhi unit to educate them about booth management. Party’s Senior leader are expected to attend the meeting in Delhi.
