The newly appointed leader of Reliance's new energy business, Anant Ambani, in a recently held meeting, discussed the prospects of the business with Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his official residence, Varsha. As per reports, Mukesh Ambani's younger, son met the Chief Minister along with the officials in a meeting during the night on Saturday, September 24, 2022, which went on for over an hour.

Official details of the meeting have not been released yet, and it said that the meeting was not a part of Chief Minister's schedule on Saturday. Further information released by the media reports also state that this is the second time one of the sons of Ambani is visiting the chief minister. Earlier, the eldest son of Mukesh Ambani visited chief minister's house during the Ganesh festival to seek the blessings from Bappa. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on September 1, 2022.

The introduction of Anant Ambani as the leader of new energy business was announced by his father, Mukesh Ambani, at the recently held Reliance succession plan meeting. Along with him, he also introduced his daughter, Isha, as the leader of Reliance group's retail business, and Akash Ambani as a leader of the Telecom business. The formal address was held in the presence of shareholders and the Reliance industries' virtual annual general meeting and it said that Anant will focus on the conglomerate's new energy business. He has also been spending a lot of time at Jamnagar in Gujarat.

The firm is also working closely with regards to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mission of making India sufficient for green energy. Reliance Energy's is new division plans to expand the business and diversify in projects which include solar and green hydrogen.

On the other hand, the businessman and billionaire Gautam Adani also met former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at his residence, Matoshree, on September 21. As per reports, the meeting was held with regards to the floating tenders of the Dharavi redevelopment project and discussions were held with regards to the proposal of the same. It is also said that Uddhav Thackeray, in the recent past, has also held several government meetings to escalate the project and bring it on track.
