After the Shiv Sena ministers' meeting with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday, it was hoped that the state assembly proceedings would proceed smoothly on Thursday. But Shiv Sena MLAs went on aggressive mode right since morning.
Even as Fadnavis started speaking on the issue of farmers' loan waiver, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party MLAs began to voice their demands on the issue. Fadnavis retorted saying the Opposition was using the issue to play politics.
The CM further alleged that the Congress and NCP had done nothing for farmers when they were ruling the state. According to the CM, in the time span of four and a half years, 16000 farmers committed suicide. Shiv Sena MLAs entered the well of the House and began raising slogans.
