After Bhim Army protested at Dadar station to press their demand for remaining the same as Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Terminus, Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh (BBM) Prakash Ambedkar on Thursday opposed the same and said, “Let Dadar remain Dadar”

Rather than demanding to change the name of Dadar railway station, the ideas of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar should be assimilated. We should try to implement his ideas in our life,” Prakash Ambedkar told Mumbai Live.

Earlier in the day, Bhim Army put stickers which read ‘Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’ across Dadar railway station hiding the original label. Before this, the Bhim Army had informed that they have written to the state government many times requesting the same for almost 25-30 years now.

Ambedkar informed that places like Dadar, Mahim, and Colaba have a historical legacy and that should not be changed by renaming them. Speaking on the Ram Mandir issue, the BBM chief said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intends to initiate riots over Ram Mandir ahead of the upcoming polls next year.

Earlier, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray had also made the same remark. Reacting to this, Ambedkar said that he has been saying so for a long time and now other political parties are coming ahead with the same remarks.
