In a surprise, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nilesh Rane has attacked Actress Kangana Ranaut over her remarks against the Mumbai Police. Siding with the Mumbai Police, Rane said that insult to the police won’t be tolerated.
“Who is Kangana Ranaut to speak against Mumbai Police? We are proud of the Maharashtra Police. Insult to our police will not be tolerated. Some officers came under pressure. This doesn’t mean that the entire department should be blamed. We are in support of catching the real culprits in the SSR case,” he said.
Rane’s remarks come after Kangana said that she was more afraid of Mumbai Police than the ‘movie mafia’. She said that she would require security either from Himachal Pradesh government or directly from the centre but not Mumbai Police to expose the ‘drug mafia’ in Bollywood.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Ram Kadam has demanded protection from Kangana. He slammed the Maharashtra government saying that it had not given her protection even days after she expressed willingness to provide information of the drug mafia in Bollywood.
“I am more scared of Mumbai Police than movie mafia goons. I need security either from Himachal Pradesh government or directly from the centre, please not Mumbai,” Ranaut said while replying to Kadam’s tweet.
The Sushant Singh Rajput death case has witnessed a new twist after the WhatsApp chats of actress Rhea Chakraborty accessed by news channels sparked a fresh debate of the drug mafia and its connections with the Bollywood.
Ranaut has also demanded drug tests to be conducted on top Bollywood actors. She asked Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan Mukerji and Vicky Kaushal to give blood samples for a drug test and burst the rumours of them being cocaine addicts.
