The Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) group leader, MP Sanjay Raut had made several accusations against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in an article titled Rokhthok in Samana daily. Sanjay Raut had made many accusations and claims that "Fadnavis entered the campaign of Nitin Gadkari unwillingly, Eknath Shinde distributed money in every constituency, and Shinde's system made special efforts to ensure that no candidate of Ajit Pawar was elected". 


After that, on behalf of Eknath Shinde, his legal advisors served a legal notice to Raut. Also, it has been said through this notice that an unconditional apology should be made in front of the media within three days. Otherwise Sanjay Raut and Saamna publication will face criminal and civil action, it has been warned.


What did the notice say?

It has been mentioned in the notice that he has continuously published defamatory articles against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the parties in the Grand Alliance. Also, in the article dated May 26, CM has expressed displeasure over the baseless and false allegation that INR 25 to INR 30 crores were distributed in each constituency. Also, there was an allegation that Ajit Pawar's candidate was not elected. This allegation is also defamatory and misleading, the notice said.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has not distributed any money during the elections. It also said that if there is an allegation of distribution of money, then submit the evidence in this regard. The notice has alleged that such propaganda is being done only to tarnish the image of the Chief Minister and divert the attention of the people to achieve their political interests.


What did Sanjay Raut allege?

Sanjay Raut had accused Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of distributing money. “Delhi has inflated some frogs from Maharashtra and made them leaders. All those leaders will disappear from the political scene. Eknath Shinde used a lot of money in this election. He distributed at least INR 25- INR 30 crores in each constituency. A separate budget to drop many candidates again. Sanjay Raut made a serious claim that Shinde and his system made special efforts to ensure that no candidate of Ajit Pawar was elected.


"Fadnavis enters the campaign reluctantly"

After being convinced that Gadkari was not defeated, Fadnavis reluctantly started campaigning in Nagpur. Sanjay Raut had said in this article that the people of the Sangh are openly speaking in Nagpur that Fadnavis provided all kinds of logistics for Gadkari's defeat.
