Amid the recent floods in Western Maharashtra specifically in the districts of Sangli and Kolhapur, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra announced on Twitter that he along with Maharashtra Cabinet Ministers will be donating their one month salary to the Chief Minister Relief Fund.

Notably, Ganpati mandals like Chinchpoklicha Chintamani, Sewri cha Raja etc will also be donating amounts from their confers. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray had demanded that the assembly elections that are scheduled for October 2019 should be postponed.
Congress Leader Urmila Matondkar, Raj Thackeray's wife Sharmila Thackeray, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Mumbai's Ajinkya Rahane will be visiting the affected areas in Sangli and Kolhapur.
