The State government’s claim of transparent governance seems to be of no use when it comes to corruption or red-tapism in the Mantralaya. As per the RTI query, the government receives 114 cases of corruption and red-tapism in the Mantralaya and most of the cases are related to the revenue department.

As per the information received by RTI activist Anil Galgali from the Lokayukta, 15 complaints are registered every day at Mantralaya as the government has received 12,828 complaints in last 850 days. Of these complaints, 4,622 are pending. The number of solved cases is 12,237 but those were the cases solved before November 1, 2014.

The number of complaints against various departments:

Revenue department – 3030
Urban development – 1936
Rural development and water conservation – 1828
Home ministry – 886
Public health – 421
School education and sports – 409
Public Works Department – 332
Co-operation, marketing and textile– 326

With these increasing numbers of complaints, it can be assumed that the people are not getting justice from the government departments.
