Congress including other opposition parties has been vocal against the Rafale deal carried out by Modi government. Alleging it as a ‘scam’, Congress has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “thief”. In order to aware people on ground level, Congress plans to organise a street play on Rafale deal issue. 

Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam informed that they have tied-up with the professional theatre artists to carry out a street play production on the issue. Congress claims to educate people on the “Rafale scam” through the theatre production.

In Rafale row, Congress had also accused the central government of “deliberately” removing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director Alok Verma. Congress president Rahul Gandhi had said that  Verma was removed because he was going to probe the Rafale deal.
