Congress state president Harshvardhan Sapkal criticised that the first heavy rains in Mumbai showed a picture of the corruption of the state government and the BMC flowing on the streets.
Mumbaikars are suffering due to the rains because contractors and the government are lining their pockets by using public money. Mumbai is inundated with water in many places. Roads, housing societies, railway tracks, underground metro stations, hospitals are flooded. A single rain has exposed the corrupt practices of the BJP, Shinde faction and Ajit Pawar faction. Sapkal quipped that his achievements are so great that he will have to go door to door by boat to seek people's votes in the upcoming elections.
