Chembur- Ward 152 in M West is reserved for SC category for upcoming BMC elections. In the previous BMC election, this ward (then 146) was reserved for women category. Most parts of this ward are the slum. leaving some area, The major part of the Sidharth colony is of Dalits that is around 30,000 voters, which are majorly Dalit voters. For the first time this ward is reserved for SC, so the numbers of the list of aspiring candidates are big. It is said that if the candidates are not getting tickets they are ready to contest independent. Around 25 to 30 candidates are set to contest the BMC election.
