It doesn't matter who the candidate is. We want to defeat BJP with all our might. We are with the INDIA alliance formed in the country against the BJP. Therefore, starting preparations for the Lok Sabha elections from today, Uddhav Thackeray, head of Shiv Sena's Thackeray group, gave a message to the office-bearers of the Lok Sabha constituency in North Maharashtra at Matoshree's residence on Wednesday.


The Shiv Sena's Thackeray group has started preparing to contest the elections on its own as the alliance of three major parties - Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP - formed four years ago to capture the power of the state. For this, meetings of thirty key office bearers such as MLAs, MPs, former MLAs, contact heads, deputy leaders and district heads of the Lok Sabha constituency have been started at 'Matoshree' residence. In the first phase, 16 Lok Sabha constituencies are being reviewed and this review will continue till Saturday. On Wednesday, four constituencies in North Maharashtra namely Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Raver were reviewed.

There is confusion in Mahavikas Aghadi since the meeting of NCP President Sharad Pawar and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in Pune. Considering the possibility of a split in the alliance, Shiv Sena and Congress have started testing their strength. Workers have been instructed to prepare to contest elections in 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in case of a breakdown in the alliance. The testing of Nandurbar Constituency was done this time where BJP MP Dr. Hina Gavit looks after. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has MPs in Dhule, Jalgaon, Raver constituencies with the support of Shiv Sena. Instructions have been given to make all preparations to defeat BJP.


A candidate against BJP

He also explained that one candidate will be given in the state. There are nine more months until the Lok Sabha elections. Thackeray has ordered Shiv Sena office bearers to prepare in these nine months. After this, 11 Lok Sabha constituencies such as Nashik, Nagar, Dindori, Maval, Shirur, Baramati, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Hatkannagale will be reviewed.
