Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar has once again made it clear that his party will not forge an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speculations are rife once again after his meeting with nephew Ajit Pawar. Sharad Pawar said, "As National President of NCP, I am making it clear that my party (NCP) will not go with BJP, any association with Bharatiya Janata Party does not fit into NCP's political policy".

Sharad Pawar clarified meeting with Ajit Pawar

On meeting with Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar said that he did not have a 'secret meeting' with his nephew Ajit Pawar. Talking about the meeting, Sharad Pawar said, "My meeting with Ajit Pawar was not a secret, he is my nephew and I am the senior most member of the family."


The hour-long meeting, which took place at businessman Atul Chordia's residence in Pune's Koregaon Park, has triggered a lot of speculation in the state's political scene. Sharad Pawar's convoy left Chordia's residence an hour before Ajit Pawar's.
