Former Nashik Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe transferred from Nashik to Mumbai

Mundhe has now been transferred for the 12th time in his career. This time he has been assigned the Planning Department of the Maharashtra government and will work from the secretariat. The transfer was made after all the political parties passed a no-confidence motion against him at Nashik

Hardworking and disciplined administrative officer, Tukaram Mundhe has been known for his work ethics and honesty. However, the officer has been transferred several times and similarly, the official has been transferred from the position of Nashik Municipal Corporation Commissioner.

Mundhe has now been transferred to the Planning Department of the Maharashtra government and will work from the secretariat. The transfer was made after all the political parties passed a no-confidence motion against him.

He served as the Municipal Commissioner for the span of nine months and had been very influential throughout his span. However, he had been involved in various disputes with several corporators due to his straightforward approach.

The officer had axed several illegal construction sites and had investigated them rigorously. After which, the political parties started demanding Mundhe’s transfer. Thus, the government reassigned Mundhe to Mumbai Mantralaya.
