Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar has warned that our leaders will also insult former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray if he insults Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his family. Shelar has raised many questions including Thackeray fighting against his brother in court, family relationship or quarrel with his sister-in-law, accused of usurping his father's property by his brother, and pleasure from kicking his cousin out of the party.

Shelar pointed out that our role is 'our soil, our country' and not 'my family, my responsibility' like yours. Thackeray had remarked at the Dussehra gathering that those who do not believe in the family system should not talk about dynasticism. Shelar has warned that if Thackeray makes such statements again, he should be prepared to suffer humiliation.
