Is the MNS still hoping for an alliance?

Is the MNS still hoping for an alliance?

Mumbai- All political parties are either looking for a poll alliance or holding discussions ahead of an alliance.
The decision of an alliance between the Shiv Sena – BJP is now dependent on the agreement between both parties on the seat sharing ratio. This is the reason neither the Sena nor the  BJP are willing to announce their candidates' list. The NCP seems to be interested in an alliance but the Congress is not willing to be a part of an alliance with NCP. A lonesome NCP has released its first list of 45 candidates while the Samajwadi Party too has disclosed its second list of candidates. The MNS is  seen going solo as well as no party has extended its hand for an alliance with the MNS. Yet, the MNS continues to hope and is yet to release its candidates' list. Who exactly is the MNS waiting for?
MNS conducted exams for chossing its candidates during the last civic polls, but this time MNS is seen as a pale shadow of its former belligerent self. Many eminent names from the MNS have joined either the BJP or Shiv Sena -  Prakash Darekar, Suresh Awale, Eshwar Tayade, Geeta Chauhan, Sukhda Pawar, the list seems to go on.
Till now, the MNS has contested elections independently, but the party has not released the names of the existing MNS corporators as its candidates either. The NCP and Samajwadi Party, which seem to have given up hopes of any alliance, have already disclosed their candidates.
According to political experts, the MNS fears that its party leaders would join the BJP or Sena and is waiting for the proposed alliance between the two before it releases its own list of candidates.
