After Union Home Minister Amit Shah moved a resolution in Rajya Sabha seeking to scrap Article 370, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Monday said that Jammu and Kashmir has become an integral part of India today.

The 70 year-long fraud which was being committed against Kashmiris has ended. In reality, Jammu and Kashmir has become an integral part of India today. The opposition can raise an objection against this but Shiv Sena welcomes the move taken by the central government,” Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said in Rajya Sabha.

Raut’s comments come after Amit Shah moved a resolution to scrap Article 370 in Rajya Sabha while seeking Parliament’s approval to do the same. Article 370 of the Indian constitution provides special status to Jammu and Kashmir and prohibits people from the rest of India to buy property in the state.

Raut further said that J&K politicians have over enjoyed Article 35-A and it will no longer continue while saying that the opposition should support the country by not bringing in adjournment motion on the issue.
