While campaigning for the Palghar Lok Sabha bypoll, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday played an audio clip of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. In the clip, the CM Fadnavis can be heard speaking about winning elections by any means. CM’s statement of Sama, Dama, Danda, and Bhedha has created a huge uproar.
However, CM Fadnavis on Saturday broke his silence over the issue and claimed that it is his audio clip but an edited version of the same. In the clip, the CM expressed “don’t worry about any problem, we can handle anything and we won’t let anyone else dominate.” CM said that he will take strong action against those who have edited the clip this way.

He also clarified that he only meant about winning elections with strategic planning and not by unfair means and that was mentioned at the end of the clip, where he had said: “We are in power and we will not misuse the same.” CM accused Shiv Sena of stooping so low for editing the clip and said that he will submit the full clip to the election commission so that the EC can take action against Shiv Sena for editing the clip.
Shiv Sena leader Adesh Bhandekar gave this clip to Uddhav Thackeray. Reacting to this, the CM slammed Bhandekar for telling lies and said that “you are the President of Siddhivinayak Trust, have some shame and don’t tell lies.” He further said that Adesh is bound to work only by taking orders.
