Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar who is backed by 13 MLAs, is likely to take oath as minister. Currently he is present at Raj Bhavan along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to meet the Governor, as per the reports by ABP Majha.

It is believed that Ajit Pawar and a few MLAs might join Shiv Sena and BJP party. Ajit Pawar had called a meeting on Sunday of MLAs supporting him. Chaggan Bhujbal and Prafull Patel joined Ajit Pawar at Raj Bhavan. 

NCP working president Supriya Sule and other leaders tried dissuading Pawar to join Shiv Sena and BJP, but the latter did not budge. After a meeting, he immediately left for Raj Bhavan.
