'Patanjali' has now found its way to Maharashtra’s web portal, thanks to CM Devendra Fadnavis, who has been going a little too over the top for endorsing Ramdev Baba’s brand. This time, his decision to list Patanjali products on the state government web portal ‘Aaple Sarkar’ has gravitated criticism from the opposition parties NCP and Congress.

An 11-page order, with comprehensive details of Patanjali products and also 50 other services was issued by the information technology department on January 19 and made available on the web portal ‘Aaple Sarkar’. The Information technology department is led by Devendra Fadnavis. Principal secretary (information technology) S V R Srinivas signed the order.

State Congress president Ashok Chavan, leader of opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and senior NCP leader Dhananjay Munde who are all angered by this decision said the Fadnavis government had sold out to Ramdev Baba. They called Maharashtra government as an ‘agent’ of Patanjali products, with Ramdev Baba being the real beneficiary of the entire government scheme.
