Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Tuesday that former Congress leader Narayan Rane has joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
On October 1, Rane announced a new political party ‘Maharashtra Swabhimaan Paksh’ after quitting Congress last month. There were rumours that he would be joining BJP after a meeting with BJP President Amit Shah in New Delhi.
CM Devendra Fadnavis has stated that the party would consider expansion of the cabinet and Rane may get a ministry in Maharashtra government.
