At an NDA dinner meeting held at Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s residence last night, the MahaYuti constituents resolved to win maximum Lok Sabha seats in the state. The members passed a resolution and took a pledge to contest Lok Sabha Polls next year together and bring Prime Minister Narendra Modi a big win.


The BJP, the Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena, the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP, the Athavale and Kawade factions of the RPI, the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi, the Prahar Jan Shakti, the Ryan Kranti, and the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha make up the Maharashtra NDA.


NCP state unit president Sunil Tatkare, Union minister and RPI leader Ramdas Athawale, National Working President Praful Patel, Bachchu Kadu of Prahar, State BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Sadabhau Khot of Rayat Kranti Sanghatana, Vinay Kore of Jana Surajya Party, Hitendra Thakur of Bahukan Vikas Aghadi and Jogendra Kawade of People's Republican Party attended the meeting along with Ministers, MPs and other leaders of various constituent parties of the MahaYuti.


Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, received special recognition for receiving an honorary degree from Koyasan University in Japan at the event.


The BJP in a late-night statement stated, “The meeting was to discuss the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly 2024 polls. The decision to run in the elections with unity was made by all of the leaders.”


Speaking at the event, Union ministers Jogendra Kawade, Mahadeo Jankar, and Ramdas Athawale pledged to put aside their differences and work together to ensure the victory of PM Modi's administration.


There are 288 Assembly seats and 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The NDA has vowed to win at least 230 seats in state assembly elections and at least 45 seats in Maharashtra.


Three resolutions were passed in the late-night meeting. First, to congratulate Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis on his trip to Japan, where he met with a number of Japanese companies about funding large-scale infrastructure projects in Maharashtra. The second resolution hailed the amazing achievement of ISRO scientists for Chandrayaan 3's soft landing on the moon. They congratulated all the scientists involved in the project, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the people of India for the success.


The third resolution, which recognized the leadership of CM Shinde and Deputy CMs Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, was adopted. All the political leaders present at the meeting commended the leaders of the ruling party for stopping the state's decline, which had begun during the previous administration, and for successfully luring investment, making Maharashtra a sought-after location for development and rocketing it down the path of development. All of MahaYuti's members applauded the trio and reaffirmed their belief in the state's leadership.


The resolution read as, "We, workers of all the constituents of MahaYuti, have resolved to bring back a government with a thumping majority under Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the centre.”
