Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray is scheduled to visit Ayodhya soon. The decision was taken at the MNS meeting held in Mumbai on Friday, January 29 at MIG Club in Bandra.

According to reports, Raj Thackeray’s tour will take place anytime between March 1 to March along with some senior party leaders to seek blessings of Lord Rama. He will also visit the Hanuman temple there.

On March 9, the party marks its 15th anniversary. If sources are to be believed Raj Thackeray is aiming to project himself as a Hindutva icon with an eye on ascendency in Maharashtra politics.

Besides, political experts say that Raj wants to become close to the BJP ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2022. Since the current Shiv Sena no longer advocates a stringent Hindutva line like its founder Bal Thackeray, Raj wants to fill that vacuum.

Soon after this development, Shiv Sena left no stones unturned to taunt Raj Thackeray. Sanjay Raut, party spokesperson said that if Raj Thackeray feels like going to Ayodhya, he should do so. Shiv Sena will guide him.

A year ago, he unveiled a saffron flag for his party and in the midst of lockdown, MNS also raised the voice of opening the temples first. Now Raj’s visit to Ayodhya is being considered a big step in this episode. However, it is not clear whether party officials or workers will be there along with him.
