Mumbai Congress President Milind Deora to inspect cleanliness of nullahs across the city

In order to ensure the nullahs across Mumbai are actually clean, Mumbai Congress President and former Union Minister Milind Deora will inspect the nullah cleaning work across the city. According to the press release issued by the Congress leader's office, monsoon has finally begun in the city but the nullahs throughout Mumbai are filled with mud and garbage, blocking the flow of water. 

Every year, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) makes claims that they clean all the nullahs and boast of 100 per cent clean nullahs but the reality turns out to be disappointing. Due to which, the citizens have to face waterlogging in their area and are also exposed to various diseases.

Therefore, in order to verify whether the claims made by BMC are true or not, Deora will be inspecting the nullahs on Friday, June 14.

Along with Deora, former MP Eknath Gaikwad, MLA Varsha Gaikwad, and politicians such as Bhai Jagtap, Naseem Khan, Amin Patel, Aslam Shaikh will also be part of the inspection drive. Meanwhile, BMC Standing Committee leader Ravi Raja, who is the opposition leader, will also take part in the inspection.
