Mumbai Dabbawala Association is unhappy with NCP MLA Jitendra Avhad for his statement against Saint Tukaram Maharaj.
Recently, Awhad shot a video on Facebook in which he made a statement saying that Saint Tukaram Maharaj was murdered. After receiving a backlash from people, he removed the video. Yet, Mumbai Dabbawala Association protested against Awhad’s statement.
Dabbawala's who deliver tiffins hail from Dehu-Alandi which is known as Saint Tukaram and Saint Dnyaneshwar’s hometown and we follow their principle. So, we are hurt with Awhad’s statement,” Subhash Talekar, Mumbai Dabbawala Association, Spokesperson.
