For the past few days, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and hawkers have been locking horns resulting in constant fights. On Sunday, hawkers beat up MNS leader Vishwajit Dholam, Vinod Shinde and hit MNS ward chief Upendra Shewale with a paver block. Shewale was admitted to Mahatma Phule Hospital and is said to be in a critical state.

Vikhroli's ward chief (MNS) Upendra Shewale went to a shop along with his party workers Vishwajeet Dholam and Vinod Shinde, asking the shopkeeper to put up his nameplate in Marathi.

While they were discussing, hawkers in the nearby area gathered around the shop and started beating up all three MNS leaders. In a fit of anger, hawkers hit Shewale with a paver block and bleeding Shewale was admitted to Mahatma Phule Hospital.

A few days back, MNS leader Sushant Malwade was beaten up. Following the consistent attacks, MNS chief Raj Thackeray has called up a meeting with MNS leaders on Monday.
