The state excise minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that the state will bring in legislation which will not entertain the usage of names of gods and goddesses, national figures and forts to beer bars, permit rooms, non-vegetarian eateries and country liquor shops.

This was pointed out by Amarsingh Pandit who said the names of famous personalities are being misused. Bawankule then replied that it is wrong to use names of famous personalities after beer shops and permit rooms.

Bawankule added that the government will take the opinion of the Law and Judiciary department while drafting the proposed law. He also assured Pandit that the meeting of the Labour and State Excise departments will be conducted in coming days.
