Mumbai – State government has declared a new policy for the sale of toddy in the state. Excise department minister Chandrashekar Bawankule has said that only those districts having palm trees will be given permission for the sale of toddy. One license to sell toddy per  1000 palm trees would be given. He also informed that as there are no palm trees in Maharashtra's 26 districts, permission for selling toddy will not be given in those districts.
