As the number of positive cases of the coronavirus or COVID-19 rise in Maharashtra, the state government on Monday has issued an order according to which the entry in Mantralaya will not be permitted without a face mask.
On Monday, the Maharashtra government passed an order stating that no individual without a face mask will be granted entry to the Mantralaya. The decision is applicable for all including the state government employees.
In its order, the Maharashtra government informed that the wearing of face masks have been made compulsory for all staff, officers and visitors to the Mantralaya for the coming few months.
“No entry to anyone without face masks will be allowed. The decision has been taken to stop the spread of the virus,” the Maharashtra Government said.
Earlier, Maharashtra Home Department had restricted the entry of ordinary visitors to Mantralaya. In a circular, the state home department stated that the ordinary visitors are not allowed to enter Mantralaya from Tuesday.
The number of visitors a minister or minister of state (MoS) can meet has been limited to 10 while the chief secretary and other department heads can only attend up to five visitors.
The total number of cases for the coronavirus or COVID-19 in Maharashtra have risen to 781 while the death toll has reached 45. 33 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state. Of them, 19 cases were reported in Pimpri-Chinchwad, followed by 11 in Mumbai, one each in Ahmednagar, Satara and Vasai.No Ordinary Visitors Allowed To Visit Mantralaya: Maharashtra Home Department
