Maharashtra Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Chandrakant Patil on Monday directed the state’s cooperative department to inquire about the organisation which was told to kill the rats. The Rat Scam has become a living horror for the state government.

Since BJP leader Eknath Khadse questioned the Maharashtra government on the alleged Rat scam, the state government has been criticised a lot. Chandrakant Patil had appealed to the house and said that the government gave orders not to kill the rats but to stop their breed.

Adding to that, the PWD minister also narrated that there has been no rat scam, in the first place. He said that 3.19 lakh is not the number of rats killed but the tablets used.

He further informed that 3,19,400 tablets were bought for 4,79,100. The money has been credited to the company’s account in Mumbai Cooperative Bank.
