The first edition of Pariksha pe Charcha was held in 2018 whereas the second edition was in January 2019, followed by the third  in 2020 and and fourth in April 2021. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the event in 2021 was held virtually where the PM interacted with them online.

One can attend the event only if they are selected post a competition and the winners stand a chance to attend Pariksha pe Charcha. As per reports, a handful of winners are given a chance to directly interact directly with the PM.
