As the price of fuel continue to rise, the Aam Aadmi Party Mumbai today, October 28, held a protest by placing 2-wheeler motor vehicles on hand-driven carts in Bandra West.
The AAP Mumbai unit in its official release stated that the point they are making is that the increase in fuel prices have had a spillover effect on all essentials such as food grains, oils, vegetables etc.

"The Aam Aadmi today has found it difficult to survive as fuel prices not only affect transport, but also the prices of essential goods and services. All prices in the economy are rising by the minute, and it is going to be the most expensive festive season for the people of Mumbai - whose back has already been broken by the pandemic," the press release stated.

Taking it to Twitter, the party said: "The immense support received from volunteers and citizens for our protest against the petrol and diesel price hike, is overwhelming.
We thank each one of them for uniting with us in our fight for the rights of the common citizens!"

Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices were hiked on Thursday, October 28, for the second consecutive day of increase that took pump rates across the country to record high levels.
In Mumbai, a litre of petrol now costs INR 114.14, and diesel is sold at INR 105.12 per litre.
Moreover, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday, October 28, took a jibe against the central government in a satirical manner for raising fuel prices.
Earlier in the day, while interacting with the audience at a workshop, Thackeray said that the fuel price hike was done for the benefit of the common man.
