Days after All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) ruled out the murder of Bollywood Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Shiv Sena on Monday said that those who defamed Mumbai Police in connection with the SSR death case should issue an apology. He said that the politicians and news channels which questioned Mumbai Police should apologise to Maharashtra.
In his column published in ‘Saamana’, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that the theories around the actor’s death were a conspiracy to malign Maharashtra’s image. He further added that the Uddhav Thackeray government and Mumbai Police tried to uncover the truth in the SSR death case.
“The politicians and media channels who bark like dogs should apologise to Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police. Truth can never be hidden and it has finally come out in Sushant’s case,” Raut said.
Earlier, the medical board of AIIMS termed the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput as a case of hanging and death by suicide while ruling out the murder angle. Raut, the Executive Editor of Saamana, also accused the Bihar government of raising the SSR death issue for the upcoming elections.
Those who wanted the SSR death case to be probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have not bothered asking what the central agency has been up to over the past 50 days, Raut said.
The Shiv Sena leader said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra should file a defamation case against those involved in the conspiracy to malign the state and its police.
Meanwhile, Raut slammed Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut for her silence over the Hathras rape case. Ranaut was quick to label Mumbai as ‘POK’ but is silent on Hathras case as if the culprits were her brothers, he said.
