Don't sacrifice your life over a dishonest government: Raj Thackeray to Anna Hazare

The activist has been on a hunger strike for the last five days and due to which, his health has been deteriorating constantly

Social worker Anna Hazare has been constantly vocal about his fight against corruption in the country and has been relentlessly trying to introduce transparency in government's functioning. As the government has been passive towards passing the Lokpal Bill, Hazare has resorted to an indefinite hunger strike.

On February 4, Monday, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray met with Anna Hazare and asked him to break his fast. Accordingly, Thackeray had visited him at Ralegan Siddhi and requested him to not trouble himself for a "dishonest government" or "useless government".

The activist has been on hunger strike since the past five days and due to which, his health has been deteriorating constantly. Therefore, Thackeray stated that Narendra Modi and his government are a group of liars and so, Anna Hazare must not put his health in danger for such a petty government.

While Thackeray criticised the Modi government, he also had severe comments for Hazare's former colleague Arvind Kejriwal. He said that at least the Delhi Chief Minister should have come to Ralegan Siddhi to visit a sick Anna Hazare.
