The Election Commission of India has launched the CVigil app to lodge complaints of code of conduct violations in the Lok Sabha general elections. National Grievance Service Portal (NGSP) has been implemented for citizens to get information and register their complaints. Through this app C-Vigil, 123 complaints were received in Lok Sabha constituencies falling under Mumbai city districts from March 16 to May 5. All these complaints have been resolved by the District Election Department. Also, calls of citizens are being attended to immediately on the NGSP portal.


Citizens can directly complain online through this app about inappropriate behavior violating the Model Code of Conduct during elections. The District Election Department has requested that if there is any violation of code of conduct anywhere in the district, the citizens should take its photo and immediately upload it on C Vigil app, action is taken on this complaint in just 100 minutes. From March 16 to May 5, 72 complaints were received in Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha constituency and 51 complaints were received in Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency on the C-Vigil app. All these complaints have been resolved.

In view of the elections, the District Control Room has been established as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. National Grievance Service Portal is a portal designed as a permanent one window scheme for monitoring and redressal of complaints received from citizens related to voter registration. Citizens can lodge complaints related to voter registration on this portal https://ngsp.eci.gov.in/ any time from March 16.


893 complaints were received in Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha constituency and 848 complaints were received in Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency during the period till May 5, 2024. Of these, 831 complaints have been resolved in Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha constituency and 837 complaints have been resolved in Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency. The action is going on in relation to the remaining 28 complaints. It has been told by the District Election Department that the complainant can see the information about the action taken on the complaint made on the above app/portal in his login.
