On Wednesday, June 22 night, three more Shiv Sena MLAs joined Eknath Shinde's rebel camp in Guwahati. With the daily increase in the number of MLAs joining Shinde's camp, he inches closer to either forming his own party or asserting his will over the present one.

According to reports, among the three who joined the rebel camp was Mahim MLA Sada Sarvankar who happens to be in the seat of Shiv Sena Bhavan and Shivaji Park where the Sena was founded.

Many narratives now go on to speculate that Sarvankar's move goes to show the extent of the disconnect between the leadership and his MLAs in addition to the rise of Yuva Sena leaders in the party who are led by Aaditya Thackeray

Following Sarvankar's exit, Sena workers blackened his posters in Dadar as well as labelled him as a traitor. However, with no large-scale protest in Dadar which is considered the heart of Shiv Sena, speculations can be made that the cadre is unsure about the side they need to take.

On the other hand, it is interesting to note that while the Shiv Sena has 13 MLAs, none except the Chief Minister's son, Aaditya Thackeray is a minister in the MVA government. But, MLCs such as Anil Parab and Subhash Desai are ministers.

With the BMC elections slated to be held soon, one can anticipate the impact of this Maharashtra political crisis on it.
