In the midst of the political crisis in Maharashtra, on Thursday, June 23, Sanjay Raut urged rebel MLAs and MPs to return to Mumbai while declaring that Shiv Sena will take an exit from the MVA alliance on a condition.

During a press conference, Raut proclaimed that if the rebel MLAs wish that the Shiv Sena should exit the MVA government, they must come to Mumbai and present their case before party chief and state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray. He added that if they do so, the party will think about it.

At the same time, he said that the same should not be communicated from Guwahati through social media. In addition to this, he claimed that they are in touch with 20 MLAs from the rebel camp. Raut remarked that will everyone will see that when the floor test happens.

Raut enunciated that those leaving the party under the pressure of the ED are not real followers of Balasaheb Thackeray. He claimed that Shiv Sena is still strong. Raut declared that when the MLAs return to Mumbai it will be revealed in what conditions and pressure they left them.

In a veiled dig at Eknath Shinde, Raut elucidated that they are with Balasaheb Thackeray and work under Uddhav Thackeray. He declared that he supports Balasaheb Thackeray and follows him. Thus, he says that these types of statements do not prove that they are real followers of Balasaheb because they fear ED.

Speaking about Nitin Deshmukh who returned to Nagpur from Surat amidst alleged abduction attempts will conduct a press conference.

In his interaction with the media, Raut voiced that some MLAs who run think they are lions, but the public saw a lion yesterday who returned to Matoshree. He believes that the Shiv Sainiks who were seen on the roads were the real Shiv Sainiks. He opined that if some MLAs leave it does not prove that the government is destroyed.

On the other hand, rebel MLAs in a letter have highlighted the discontent amongst the party workers.
