Amid huge uproar after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ram Kadam made misogynistic remarks, Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday slammed Kadam for the same demanding BJP to not give him any candidacy in the upcoming elections.

While addressing a press conference, Thackeray urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the BJP to speak up on the issue and take action against Kadam. CM and BJP should have the courage to take action against the BJP MLA who made these remarks, said Thackeray.

Has BJP changed its slogan from Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao to Beti Baghao? We will not tolerate insult to our mothers and sisters,” said Shiv Sena chief taunting BJP. 

Speaking about Hardik Patel, Thackeray said that he telephoned Patel and asked him to quit the hunger strike. The Indian government says that there should be a talk with Pakistan regarding increasing terrorism but doesn’t indulge in dialogue with its own son, Thackeray added.  

You are a soldier who is fighting for your community,” Thackeray told Patel and demanded the government to resolve the issue.

Hardik Patel has been fasting for 12 days now to demand reservation for Patel community in Gujarat.
