Shiv Sena demands to change Mumbai University’s name

For the last few months, people are demanding to change the name of Mumbai University. Now, Shiv Sena has also supported the same. Shiv Sena corporator Datta Naravankar proposed that MU should be changed to ‘Rajmata Jijau Bhosale’.

Narvankar said in the BMC hall that Pune University is named as Savitribai Phule University, Solapur University’s name is Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Solapur University, North Maharashtra University has been named  Kaviyatri Bahinabai Chaudhari Uttar Maharashtra University and accordingly, the name of Mumbai University should be changed.

Jijau Bhosle is the mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the emperor of Maratha empire.
