Uddhav Thackeray has announced the candidature of Amol Kirtikar for the North-West seat including Goregaon to Andheri area, although the Congress and Mahavikas Aghadi have not yet agreed on the seats of Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar group. Congress is angry with this decision and has accused Uddhav Thackeray of violating Yuti-Dharma.

Senior Congress leader and former MP Sanjay Nirupam said that "A consensus has not yet been reached among the parties involved in Mahavikas Aghadi regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Uddhav Thackeray has already announced the candidate for the North West Lok Sabha seat, this is a complete violation of Yuti-Dharma, even after more than two dozen meetings, no final decision has been taken on this Lok Sabha seat of Mumbai, is this being done to demean Congress? Who is Amol Kirtikar? There is an allegation of a large-scale scam in the distribution of Khichdi by BMC to labourers stranded in Mumbai during Covid.


Former Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam has already expressed his desire to contest from the North-West Lok Sabha seat. However, no decision has been taken by Congress on this seat yet.
