Shubhada Gudekar was elected unopposed for the post of president of BMC Education Committee, as Congress didn’t field any candidate for that post.
For the post of president of BMC Education Committee, Shiv Sena senior leader and corporator Shubhada Gudekar filed her nomination papers with the municipal secretary.
The formal announcement of the election has been done on Tuesday by Mayor Vishwasrao Mahadeshwar. Subhada Gudekar had won the corporation election in the year 2002, 2007, and in 2017.
During March 2012 election, her ward was reserved, so Shrikant Katwankar won that seat. Prior to this, Subhada Gudekar has worked as President of Health Committee.
