During the ongoing proceedings of Maharashtra Legislature monsoon session, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced a single-window facility for clearing permits of production houses seeking permission to shoot outside for films, TV shows and web series.

After the attack on the cast and crew of a web series ‘Fixer’ in Mira Road, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Kiran Pawaskar raised a privilege motion in the Maharashtra legislative council. To which, CM Fadnavis replied and stated that the single-window system to grant permission for outdoor shoots will be operational from August 15.

Maharashtra government will launch a digital platform for the film and TV production house on August 15, where all necessary permissions can be obtained through a single window,” informed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

On Tuesday, the cast and crew of web series ‘Fixer’ was assaulted and the cameraman suffered a head injury. After this, the cast and Indian Film and Television Director’s Association (IFTDA) President Ashoke Pandit met CM Fadnavis. In the meeting, CM Fadnavis assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits.
