Maharashtra government employees’ dearness allowance increased by three per cent

The increased dearness allowance (DA) will apply from January 1, 2018, and will be provided to the state government employees from October 1, 2018.

Amid the festival season, Maharashtra Government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) given to its employees by three per cent. The employees will get the allowance from January 1, 2018.

According to the sixth pay commission’s recommendation, the state government has decided to amend the rate of dearness allowance for their employees. The per cent of DA has been increased by three per cent.

Earlier, the allowance provided to the employees was 139 per cent and now that has increased to 142 per cent. This amendment will be effective not only for full-time employees but also for part-time employees.

The increased DA allowance will be provided to the employees from October 1, 2018.
