Ghatkopar - Rounds of blames, allegations and harsh comments have been kickstarted now that election campaigning has begun in right earnest.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray while addressing a rally on Tuesday on Ghatkopar link road on Tuesday ranted at the Bharatiya Janta Party, saying that  the BJP's allegation on the lack of transparency in the BMC is totally baseless.
Not content with that, Thackeray questioned why the BJP which made its workers take an oath at the Hutatama Chowk in Mumbai and Sinhagad in Pune, did not do the same in Nagpur, Ulhasnagar, and Aurangabad.
Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, while addressing a meeting on Tuesday, had commented, "First deal with me, then with Modi." Thackeray responded to this commented in his speech, saying that everyone would be taken to task in the assembly elections.
Uddhav Thackeray took a dig at the prime minister as well, claiming that more people have died while standing in the queues outside the banks after the demonetisation drive began, than during terrorist attack.
Present in this rally were Sena Secretary Aadesh Bandekar, MP Sanjay Raut, Adhalrao Patil and Shiv Sainiks.
