Ahead of the Union Budget, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde conducted a special meeting of all the MPs of Maharashtra at Sahyadri guest house in Mumbai for discussions.

MPs that were present in the meeting at Sahyadri guest house in Mumbai included Navneet Rana MP, Dhananjay Mahadik BJP MP, Imtiaz Jaleel MP MIM, Narayan Rane MP BJP, Poonam Mahajan MP BJP, Amol Kole MP NCP along with CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis

Meanwhile, the Sena MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray faction, as well as those of the Congress were not present at the Union Budget discussion that was called for by CM Eknath Shinde. Discussions at the meeting were about the kind of development that is needed more in Maharashtra, type of development projects that need to be implemented, and the kind of schemes that are lacking presently.

During the discussion, the MPs put forth their suggestions and opinions on various issues, ranging from a flyover bridge to a medical college. BJP MP Dhananjaya Mahadik criticised the Uddhav Thackeray faction and Congress MPs for not attending the meeting adding that both the parties are  not concerned about the state.

Meanwhile, NCP MP Amol Kolhe who is a part of the Opposition MVA, attended the meeting. Opposing his party's decision he said I wanted to put forward my views on the Budget for my region, hence he attended the meeting.

At the meeting, a total of 64 development issues of the state were discussed.
