Shiv Sena's Thackeray group will protest at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters on July 1 to protest against the extravagance that is going on under the administrative rule in the BMC. However, July 1 is a Saturday and on this day the municipal headquarters has a holiday.
It has been one and a half years since the term of BMC ended and the administrative rule is going on. Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal is the administrator. The Shiv Sena Thackeray faction has organised a Dhadak Morcha at the headquarters on July 1, alleging that a large amount of money has been squandered and corruption has taken place during the administration rule in the last one and a half years. MLA Aditya Thackeray will lead this march.
Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting of former corporators at Shiv Sena Bhavan on Tuesday. After talking to the media, he gave information about the protest. Shiv Sena's march was discussed in the municipal circle. However, July 1 is a Saturday and on this day the municipal headquarters has a holiday. Since the municipal employees have a five-day week, the municipal headquarters is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. There are only security guards. Therefore, the question is being raised as to what demands will be placed in front of which officials.
