There has been talk for the past few days that Shiv Sena (Thackeray) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena will form an alliance for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. There are claims that the two brothers Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray will come together.
While fans of both leaders and activists of both parties were waiting for this moment, both leaders recently made suggestive statements about coming together for the benefit of the Marathi people and Maharashtra. However, this discussion does not seem to have progressed. But, office bearers of both parties are claiming that whatever is in the mind of a Marathi person can happen.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (Thackeray) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut made a big statement on this issue while talking to the media in Mumbai some time ago. When asked by the media whether Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena would contest the upcoming local body elections with the MVA alliance or if the party was interested in joining hands with MNS, Sanjay Raut responded, “Shiv Sena (Thackeray) chief Uddhav Thackeray will soon answer all your questions and clear any doubts you may have on this matter.”

Sanjay Raut said, “The Mahavikas Aghadi is working together in Maharashtra. However, it is important to know what the feelings of the local workers are in the local body elections and we are paying attention to that. Activists in different places are suggesting who they should go with and who they should not go with. Activists in some places say they should go with the Congress, others say they should go with the Nationalist Congress Party. So, some of our workers feel that the party should take a different decision in Mumbai. Once our work in this regard is completed, and our views and stance are decided, we will soon inform you (the media) about this.
The Shiv Sena (Thackeray) MP said, "The work of forming ward committees is now underway. Everything will be decided before this work is completed."
Meanwhile, Raut was asked whether MNS could be Shiv Sena's (Thackeray's) priority for the municipal elections. To this, MP Raut said, "Uddhav Thackeray will soon answer all your questions.”
