The founder of the Myna Mahila Foundation, Suhani Jalota and two others from the organisation got a privilege to attend the much-awaited Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, at Windsor Castle on Saturday. The couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen the Myna Mahila Foundation as the recipients of charity at their wedding. Here's everything you need know about Suhani Jalota and her Myna Mahila foundation

1. A few years ago, then 21-year-old Suhani was awarded the Queens Young Leader Award in of the winners from India. Suhani also won Glamour magazine’s College Women of the Year awards at the Duke University happened to meet Hollywood star, Meghan Markle.

2. Suhani’s NGO, Myna Mahila foundation, which was established in 2015, helps women from the slums of Mumbai, to manufacture their own sanitary napkins and sell them to their community at a fraction of the cost of regular napkins.

3. In the list of seven organisations chosen by the Royal couple, Myna Mahila Foundation is the only non-UK based charity which will receive the benefits.

4. The foundation has a team of approximately 35 members, of which 15 manufacture the sanitary napkins while 20 approach various slums across Mumbai. 



5. Founder of this NGO, Suhani Jalota attended the Royal Wedding, along with one of the charity's volunteers and two local women from Mumbai. She will also host a fundraiser for the charity.
